“The capture, removing in a Black Maria, and confinement of Debo Macaroni and other quiet nonconformists at the Lekki tollbooth on Saturday is obviously illicit and absolutely illegal”, Mike Ozekhome, SAN said.
Sacred Lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who made this known on Saturday said, “At any rate, the Nigerian Constitution has not been revoked by this oppressive legislature of exemption”.
“Areas 40 and 41 of the said Constitution give Debo and different Nigerians the privilege to serene gathering and affiliation and the privilege to the opportunity of development.
“Much under military autocracies, as one of the establishing fathers of the CLO – the Civil Liberties Organization – (the principal native common freedoms association in Nigeria established on fifteenth October 1987), I was permitted to show and dissent in the city by progressive military juntas.
“Debo and different dissidents have chosen whatever is best to dissent. It has not been indicated that it was fierce. “Is the Federal government genuinely saying Nigerians should at this point don’t dissent? “At that point, the Federal Government should break up individuals and select or choose another of its decisions.”
