The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has coordinated the Interim Leadership of the Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association Nigeria (ASPAMDA) to direct decisions in the following 60 days or 90 days. The cutoff time is to end all the authority emergencies that have perplexed the market since 2018.
Notwithstanding the decisions, the previous authority kept on holding influence. This prompted severe disturbances. The State Government got a surge of petitions about the past initiative’s refusal to comply with court orders, declining to clear office.
The State Government, through the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, composed the Inspector General of Police, mentioning that Sunday Igboanuzuo and Emeka Chukwueloka be delegated Chairman and Secretary of the Caretaker Committee quickly, with the order to direct races to choose a solid administration for ASPAMDA inside 30 days, as per the court judgment. The Caretaker Committee took off on the twentieth (20th) July 2020.
